Payne’s – Home of Traditional British Fish n’ Chips!

Payne’s – Home of Traditional British Fish n’ Chips! This very unassuming restaurant is tucked behind a small strip mall off I69 at the Gas City exit. When Payne’s first opened they prepared custard and coffee. As time went on, they evolved and added sandwiches and other items to compete with local establishments. Payne’s currently…

Milktooth – Indianapolis   This place has been on my bucket list (of places to dine) for a very long time. Milktooth is a breakfast and lunch diner in the Fletcher Place area of downtown Indianapolis. I remember reading in a magazine about this place not long after it opened. I continued to follow it…

Men that Cook!

January 20, 2017Belinda MunsonMusingsNo Comments

Men that Cook! I write a lot of articles on places I’ve eaten and recipes.  I decided to ramble a little about men that cook. Some of the best home cooks I know are men. If a man decides they want to cook they usually do it very well.  My husband’s very good friend from childhood,…

Breakfast Casserole

Breakfast Casserole Christmas morning I make an egg casserole. As I’ve become a parent and my life has become much busier, I’ve become a fan of a good breakfast casserole.  I can make this the night before, have it in the refrigerator, then pop it in the oven when I awaken. I’m also a fan…

Scalloped potatoes are a great side dish for any meal and I found a recipe on Facebook that I modified to my taste. The recipe that I found basically consisted of thyme, salt, pepper, sliced potatoes and a lot of cream. I modified this by adding some cheese and a little bit of seasoning. My…

Making eco-friendly coffee with the Keurig

November 8, 2016Belinda MunsonBeverages, Musings2 comments

I love coffee in the morning … but I recently sold my Keurig to become more eco-friendly. These machines are pretty cool. I mean you can get a great cup of coffee in less than a minute and you can change the flavors each time you use it. What’s not to love? Well, I hadn’t thought…

Delicia of Indianapolis is a Gem!

October 28, 2016Belinda MunsonReviewsNo Comments

Delicia of Indianapolis is a Gem! Let me start off by explaining that I have driven by Delicia dozen times. I have never noticed it or if I have I just didn’t look any deeper than the sign out front. This was an error on my part. My boss Travis and his girlfriend Carma introduced this…

This is one of my favorite fall crockpot meals! Making regular chili can be boring after a while so this Checkerboard Chicken Chili was a great way to mix up my fall dinner menu. My friend Nina (says she got the recipe from Kendra who got it from someone else….anyway) brought this over for one…

The Travels of a Culinary Adventurer...

About Me

I'm just a simple Midwestern wife and mother with a passion for food and all things related. Nothing too complicated here! I decided to journal my food adventures! I am not a trained chef and I don't claim to be. I just like really good food! Most of my travels are going to be in the Middle of the United States but I will be posting my food adventures when I travel to different places. I will share recipes that I enjoy and are crowd pleasers in my home. I love to cook and wish I had more time to experiment with new recipes. So, this is a new endeavor for me. I will be tweaking this along the way as I continue to learn about the world of blogging.
