Where did I put that recipe?

April 22, 2016Belinda MunsonMusings, RecipesNo Comments

If you are like me you have thousands of recipes stored everywhere! I have dozens of cookbooks. And printed copies from magazines and online. They are in every nook and cranny in my kitchen. A few years ago I tried using Keyingredient.com to organize them. I started typing in recipes that I had on scrapes of paper, stuffed in cookbooks and from torn magazine articles.  The fun thing about this website site is you can share them with others. And view other recipes that others have posted. This site has an active library that allows you to categorize your recipes in various ways. You and other members can rate the recipes on the site. I currently have 372 recipes in my library. I need to add more…

There is a new feature called Cookmark that allows you to copy recipes over from other food sites to your Keyingredient.com page. You have to download this to your toolbar. I like to search recipes and this makes it much faster than cutting and pasting over.

They also feature kitchen accessories, electronics and gourmet food items you can purchase through the website. I havent done that yet but, personally, I  don’t need anymore kitchen items!

Of course there are several other options for storing recipes out there. I just prefer this one!

Thank you and come back to see me.

The Travels of a Culinary Adventurer...

About Me

I'm just a simple Midwestern wife and mother with a passion for food and all things related. Nothing too complicated here! I decided to journal my food adventures! I am not a trained chef and I don't claim to be. I just like really good food! Most of my travels are going to be in the Middle of the United States but I will be posting my food adventures when I travel to different places. I will share recipes that I enjoy and are crowd pleasers in my home. I love to cook and wish I had more time to experiment with new recipes. So, this is a new endeavor for me. I will be tweaking this along the way as I continue to learn about the world of blogging.
